I am a husband, a father, a brother, a son, a blue-collar worker, and a two-time OEF veteran. You have probably passed someone like me in a store, on a job site, in a driveway, or at a stoplight and never known that he went home at night to build an archive like this.
I am not a law firm, a newsroom, a government office, or a think tank. I am one person who learned, the hard way, that systems do not always explain themselves. They produce records, gaps, denials, forms, logs, filings, and silence. If you want the truth, you have to read carefully.
I do not trust systems blindly. I test them. I follow the paper trail. I compare the source record against the public story. I keep correction history visible because getting a read wrong is not the failure. Hiding the correction is.
I came home from war with my eyes open. I am nearly 100% schedular VA disabled, and I know what it feels like when a human being becomes a file number, a form, a rating, a claim, or a line in a database.
That is part of why this archive exists.
