How to read

How an entry is adjudicated

Each lane answers a different question. None may silently substitute for another.

01

Claim lane

The proposition being tested is stated narrowly enough to be proved, limited, contradicted, or left unresolved by identifiable records.

02

Record lane

The source chain identifies what each document actually establishes. A route, source card, or search result supports only the narrow proposition attached to it.

03

Source first

Original editorial work must expose the relevant record, date, provenance, extraction risk, alternate reading, and evidentiary limitation.

04

Silence stays visible

Where the linked sources do not establish motive, purpose, conduct, identity, continuity, legal status, or causation, the ledger leaves that gap open.

Published record

Active ledger

Entries remain open to stronger sources, corrections, narrower language, and documented alternate interpretations.

FARA Review Signals Are Not Legal Conclusions

A contradiction-ledger investigation explaining how the Barak FARA review route should label review signals without alleging violations.

Claim under review

Review signals or investigative flags establish a legal conclusion.

Record position

The linked investigation treats those signals as prompts for review and expressly avoids converting them into an allegation or adjudicated violation.

What remains silent

The cited route does not independently establish motive, legal status, criminal conduct, or a final agency determination.

Narrow finding

The records support a review signal. They do not, without additional authoritative evidence, support a legal conclusion.

Editorial boundary

Raw search output, API responses, source-card shells, topic indexes, the evidence cockpit, Birthday Book reader, and Barak tool pages remain finding aids under Explore the Archive. They are proof layers—not substitutes for a source-bound ledger entry.
