What to send
- Native PDFs, emails, court filings, and production images with identifiers intact.
- The public URL or EFTA/Bates number if you already have one.
- What the document directly shows, in one or two sentences.
- What you think it might mean, labeled as your interpretation.
Ordinary contact method
Use the existing Contact / Source Tips page. That is the working public intake. Corrections, broken-link reports, and archive questions belong there too.
Privacy and security
GAH does not currently operate SecureDrop, Signal, Tor intake, or another end-to-end encrypted mailbox. Ordinary email is not anonymous and is not a secure legal channel. Do not over-read a “tips” label as source protection.
Do not send illegal material, passwords, private personal data about living private people, current/private survivor contact information, or anything that requires a lawyered secure drop. GAH will not pretend to provide protection it cannot provide.
Document-submission guidance
Prefer complete files over screenshots. Keep headers, Bates stamps, and filenames. If a page is redacted, send the redacted page as it exists; do not attempt to defeat redactions.
