Canonical timeline: Epstein death timeline — final 48 hours at MCC — event-by-event chronology with source ledger. This page is the supporting proof / receipt layer only.

Receipts first. Theory last.

Supporting receipt cards for custody status, supervision, records, and unresolved gaps. For the canonical Epstein death timeline, use the flagship chronology page.

Why This Page Exists

The Epstein death question is not one isolated mystery. It is a chain involving custody status, watch status, cell status, supervision, records, video, medical response, timing, and later public explanations.

This page does not ask the reader to accept a theory. It organizes the receipts so the control chain can be read clearly, including what the records show, what they do not show, and where the receipt chain is still incomplete.

How To Read The Evidence

Archive evidence has priority over summaries. Public web sources are used to corroborate, challenge, or contextualize archive evidence, not to replace it.

archive-verified Confirmed from local archive evidence or visual review.
official-source corroborated Supported by official DOJ/OIG/court/public-record material.
court-record corroborated Supported by a court-record pointer or filing context.
public-reporting corroborated Used for timing or public-reporting sequence only.
archive-verified / public corroboration pending Archive confirms the item, but public mirror/source context is still missing.
ambiguous OCR OCR-only material that is not strong enough for a settled factual claim.
visual confirmation needed File names or text pointers exist, but page/video/image content still needs direct review.
internet artifact / unverified Lowest-tier material. Not used as a factual anchor.
conflict note Archive and public-source items are held side by side without forcing a conclusion.
open receipt slot The page identifies what is missing instead of inventing certainty.

MCC Control Spine

This section reads the records as a custody/control chain: notice, duty to know, watch status, cell status, alone-status knowledge, records, cameras, command gap, medical response, and post-event explanation.

Notice

archive-verified / public corroboration pending

Existing anchors point to a notice lane around whether a replacement cellmate/control fix was flagged.

Why it matters: The notice lane matters because custody control starts with what was written or otherwise available to decision-makers.

What it does not prove: It does not prove every recipient read, understood, or acted on the notice.

Duty to know

archive-verified / public corroboration pending

Existing anchors point to SHU files, hot-list style records, training, and required review channels.

Why it matters: Independent duty-to-know paths matter when the page asks whether a single memo was the only possible notice path.

What it does not prove: It does not prove personal knowledge by every staff member.

Watch status

archive-verified / source-line review needed

The late-July archive window includes watch-status language and SHU bedspace context.

Why it matters: Watch status frames what safeguards were expected before the final overnight window.

What it does not prove: It does not establish the full medical basis for each status change.

Cell status

archive-verified / official-source corroborated

The OIG context says Epstein was assigned to the SHU on July 7.

Why it matters: Cell status matters because SHU procedures shape rounds, observation, and movement records.

What it does not prove: It does not provide every housing record or exact transfer time.

Alone-status knowledge

archive-verified / public corroboration pending

Existing anchors cite no-cellmate awareness around the 10 p.m. count.

Why it matters: Alone-status knowledge is one of the strongest custody-control questions.

What it does not prove: It does not by itself prove why the status was not corrected.

Records / rounds

archive-verified / public corroboration pending

Existing anchors cite missed rounds and false-record lanes.

Why it matters: Rounds and records are the measurable spine of custody supervision.

What it does not prove: False records do not prove homicide, survival, or intent to cause death.

Camera / video gaps

archive-verified / visual confirmation needed

The source lists video file windows, but the manifest does not include visual continuity review.

Why it matters: Video file pointers are important because they define what must be checked frame by frame.

What it does not prove: They do not prove what the files show.

Command / supervisor gap

archive-verified / public corroboration pending

Existing anchors focus on who received, escalated, ordered, verified, and documented the control fix.

Why it matters: This is where the chain becomes difficult to reconcile without more receipts.

What it does not prove: It does not prove command intent or misconduct.

Medical / EMS response

open receipt slot

The current manifest lacks primary EMS/hospital timestamps.

Why it matters: Medical response timing matters because the timeline needs exact discovery, alarm, transport, and pronouncement records.

What it does not prove: The page does not invent those times.

Post-event explanation gap

archive-verified / source-line review needed

The BOP reconstruction is a later explanatory source and itself flags timeline limits.

Why it matters: A serious page must separate later explanation from contemporaneous custody records.

What it does not prove: It does not resolve every source conflict or missing primary record.

Evidence Lanes

Each lane is a reader-facing summary backed by source chips, confidence labels, and linked receipt cards.

Source-verified page transcription

archive-verified / public corroboration pending

On PDF page 15 of EFTA00035147, the page footer reads EFTA00035161. A row dated 8/8 lists Colvin in the name column and Epstein in the inmate column; the registration entry reads 76318-054.

Why it matters: It preserves a source-aware transcription with its page and footer identifiers.

What it does not prove: It does not establish the year, visit purpose, relationship, conduct, coordination, intent, or any connection to later events.

Watch-status / cell-status material

archive-verified / source-line review needed

The archive has late-July watch/SHU language and OIG SHU assignment context.

Why it matters: Watch and cell status define the expected supervision regime.

What it does not prove: It does not prove complete clinical history or exact authorization chains.

Guard rounds / false-records material

archive-verified / public corroboration pending

The existing MCC control-spine anchors identify missed-round and false-record lanes.

Why it matters: Rounds are the main measurable custody safeguard.

What it does not prove: False records alone do not prove homicide or survival.

Camera / video material

archive-verified / visual confirmation needed

The archive points to CH0080 file names and time windows on August 9 and August 10.

Why it matters: The file list defines a review queue for the video lane.

What it does not prove: File references do not prove content, continuity, or complete coverage.

Medical / EMS timeline material

archive-verified / official-source corroborated

The official-source lane identifies death-reporting context, while the exact EMS/hospital timing remains open.

Why it matters: This separates official death context from unfilled medical-response timing.

What it does not prove: It does not establish exact EMS dispatch, arrival, transport, or hospital pronouncement times.

Public reporting timeline

public-reporting corroborated

Public reporting is used only for sequence context around later guard-charge coverage.

Why it matters: It helps readers distinguish public reporting from official and archive anchors.

What it does not prove: It does not replace court records, OIG records, or archive receipts.

Early internet leak / 4chan lane

internet artifact / unverified

No 4chan or early-post artifact is used as a factual anchor in this build.

Why it matters: Naming the lane prevents rumor laundering.

What it does not prove: It proves nothing without original capture, provenance, and corroboration.

Supervisor / command-chain lane

archive-verified / public corroboration pending

Existing control-spine anchors identify a command gap around receipt, escalation, orders, verification, and documentation.

Why it matters: The question is chain of control, not internet speculation.

What it does not prove: It does not prove intent or guilt by role alone.

Open gaps

open receipt slot

Open slots remain for public mirror confirmation, source-card routes, exact EMS timing, direct autopsy review, and video continuity.

Why it matters: Open slots keep the page defensible.

What it does not prove: They do not weaken verified receipts; they mark where the record is incomplete.

EFTA Receipt Cards

Receipt cards are built from the evidence manifest. They avoid local filesystem paths in the public page and expose only EFTA/source IDs, public URLs, page/footer information when available, and careful limits.

Searches for EFTA00035147, EFTA00035161, Colvin, Epstein, and 76318 did not locate a stronger public mirror or contradiction in this run.

Why it matters: It explains why the 8/8 row is labeled archive-verified / public corroboration pending.

What it does not prove: Absence of a public mirror is not proof that no public source exists.

Conflict Note

  • Archive item: EFTA00035147 page 15 / footer EFTA00035161 shows the 8/8 Colvin / Epstein / 76318-054 row.
  • Public source item: No stronger public mirror or contradiction found during this run.
  • Source quality: Archive visual confirmation is stronger than web search absence.
  • Conflict: No direct conflict found; public corroboration remains pending.
  • Current status: Include as a source-verified page transcription, not as a conclusion.
  • Next verification step: locate official release context, public PDF mirror, or dedicated source-card route.

Source-verified page transcription

On PDF page 15 of EFTA00035147, the page footer reads EFTA00035161. A row dated 8/8 lists Colvin in the name column and Epstein in the inmate column; the registration entry reads 76318-054.

Presence-only note: this transcription does not establish the year, visit purpose, relationship, conduct, coordination, intent, or any connection to later events.

Claim support: TASK-001-C01 and TASK-001-C02 (L3).

Bus run: TASK-001_20260624T003231Z.

What this shows

  • The available records create a custody/control timeline with several independently important lanes.
  • The strongest evidence concerns supervision, records, timing, watch/cell status, and unresolved public explanation gaps.
  • The source-verified page transcription records an 8/8 row with Colvin, Epstein, and registration entry 76318-054.
  • The page does not require one theory to show that the control chain deserves careful scrutiny.

What this does not show

  • It does not prove murder.
  • It does not prove survival.
  • It does not prove every named person had knowledge.
  • It does not prove misconduct by presence in a log, report, address book, court record, or article alone.
  • It does not replace official records, court findings, autopsy records, video review, or primary EMS records.
